夏曉鵑 Hsiao-Chuan Hsia

夏曉鵑,現職為世新大學社會發展所教授,同時也是致力於婚姻移民運動的行動者。她於1995年創辦了「外籍新娘識字班,促成了「南洋台灣姊妹會的成立,並與伙伴們共同創設了「移民/住人權修法聯盟,已成功地推動了幾項移民相關的法令政策的改革。夏曉鵑同時也積極參與國際性移民和移民組織,例如,共同創設「婚姻移民權益與培力聯盟(Alliance of Marriage Migrants’ Organizations for Rights and Empowerment),以及擔任「國際移民/工聯盟(International Migrants Alliance)國際執委。

Hsiao-Chuan Hsia is Professor at the Graduate Institute for Social Transformation Studies, Shih Hsin University, an activist scholar striving for the advancement of marriage migrants’ movement. She initiated the Chinese programs for marriage migrants in 1995, leading to the establishment of TransAsia Sisters Association, Taiwan (TASAT), and co-founded the Alliance for the Human Rights Legislation for Immigrants and Migrants (AHRLIM), which has successfully campaigned for reforms of immigration policies and laws in Taiwan. Hsia is also active in international organizations for immigrants and migrants, such as co-founding the Alliance of Marriage Migrants’ Organizations for Rights and Empowerment (AMMORE) and serving as the member of the international coordinating body of the International Migrants Alliance (IMA).
