Roland graduated from Department of Art and now works as a activity assistant, assisting the planning and co-ordinating of art activities. He participated in various community art activity, including My Tokwawan, Woofaten (2011-13), Elderlies Art Creation Living Project, “Living Word – Living Lives” Research Institute, Sparkle-Counting the Days(2018). Roland also assisted the publication of Your Written Words (and the appendix New Words Archive) and You and Me, Us and Them – Interviews, Sharing and Records on Community Art (with chronology and appendices).
Roland was born as a neighbor of Tokwawan, and seldom goes home now. Each time when Roland goes back to this area, he finds new buildings or old buildings getting renovated, tourist bus, Chinese restaurants only for Individual Visit Scheme, parking areas. Lately, lots of shops closed down. He participated in social movements against the highspeed-railway and some protests the following years, in the form of calligraphy, writing all the banners, posters, boards, giving his years-long study of the art form a form in social movement. When Roland has leisure time, he would now thinking of creating new words to reflect what is in his mind. Sense of belonging has become loose lately, so seldom participated in community art activity lately.
